Frequently Asked Questions
What is your cleaning method?
We use a hot water extraction method, commonly referred to as steam cleaning. A truck mounted unit is standard practice for us unless special circumstances require the use of a portable unit.
Do I need to vacuum beforehand?
Light vacuuming of the areas is suggested to remove loose debris. Our equipment vacuums as we clean but it is not designed to pickup larger objects.
How long does it take to dry?
Dry time can be anywhere from 8-24 hours. Several factors play into the required dry time such as humidity, temperature, and air flow. The use of a ceiling or floor fan will greatly reduce this time.
Do you move furniture?
We will move light furniture such as coffee tables, end tables, and chairs. Typically we do not move items such as bedroom furniture, entertainment centers, larger sofas, china cabinets, antiques, etc. Prior to our arrival we suggest having any smaller items up and off the floor if possible.
What is carpet protector?
Carpet protector is essentially an invisible shield for your carpet like a coat of wax is for your car. Carpet protector repels spots and spills making them much easier to clean up. In addition it keeps dirt from sticking to the fibers, making carpets easier to maintain, and looking fresher longer.
Why should I have my carpets professionally cleaned?
Dirty carpets not only look bad, they’re loaded with pollutants and grime. These dirt particles act like sandpaper, breaking down carpet fibers every time you walk on them. Having your carpets professionally cleaned on a regular basis will not only extend the life your carpet but remove harmful allergens trapped in the carpet.
How often should I have my carpets professional cleaned?
For homes with light to moderate traffic it is important to have them professionally cleaned at least once per year. For homes with moderate to heavy traffic at least twice per year. Routine vacuuming should be performed at least once per week.
